How Trust Levels Work

Trust levels are automatically increased when your suggestions are accepted. Every 3 accepted suggestions increases your trust level by 1, up to a maximum of level 7. This system ensures that active and helpful contributors gain more privileges over time.

Observer
Level 0

Default level for unauthenticated users. Limited to browsing functionality.

Regular Contributor
Level 2

Users who have started making helpful contributions.

Trusted Contributor
Level 3

Experienced contributors with a good track record.

Senior Editor
Level 6

Experienced editors with advanced editing capabilities.

Moderator
Level 7

Maximum trust level. Advanced users who can moderate content and perform complex operations.

Requirements: 18 accepted suggestions

  • Trust levels are earned through contributing helpful suggestions that get accepted by administrators.
  • All authenticated users start at trust level 1 and can make suggestions.
  • Trust level 5+ users can directly edit stop information without approval.
  • Trust level 7+ users can perform advanced operations like merging stops.
  • The system is designed to reward consistent, quality contributions over time.
  • Trust levels cannot be decreased, but inactive users may need to rebuild their reputation.
